Questions
Good to know.
How much does a solar system cost?
It depends on your energy needs, but our systems start from KES 150,000 for a 1.5kW setup and scale up from there. Use the calculator on our site for a quick estimate, or ask us for a free, itemised quote.
How long until it pays for itself?
Most of our clients see payback in 3–5 years, after which the power is effectively free. Grid-tie systems pay back fastest; battery-backed systems a little slower but with far more resilience.
Do you offer a warranty?
Yes — every system we install carries a 5-year warranty, and quality panels typically last 25–30 years.
Where do you work?
We're based in Nairobi and deliver across 16+ counties — from Malaba to Mombasa. Meru, Eldoret, Nanyuki, Thika and the coast included.
How long does installation take?
Most residential installations are completed in 1–3 days once the design is agreed and components are on site. Larger commercial or farm projects take longer.
Off-grid, hybrid or grid-tie — which do I need?
Grid-tie is cheapest and best where you use most power by day; hybrid adds battery backup for outages; off-grid runs you fully independent of the grid. We help you choose during the free survey.
Do you service systems you didn't install?
Yes — we audit, repair and maintain most solar systems regardless of who installed them.
What happens during a blackout?
With a hybrid or off-grid system, the battery takes over automatically so your essentials stay on. A grid-tie system pauses during an outage unless you add storage.
